Islamic University's (IU) female student Phulpori was tortured and assaulted by six students including Chhatra League leader Sanjida Chowdhury Antora, according to a judicial probe report.

The report was placed by deputy attorney general Tusher Kanti Roy before an HC bench of  Justice JBM Hassan and Justice Razik-Al-Jalil on Tuesday.

Phulpori has been tortured and a video of the incident has been captured. The torturers were identified, the report said.

The five other students are Tabassum Islam, Lima, Urmee, Muabia and Meem.

The bench fixed Wednesday for passing its order.

Earlier on Sunday (February 26), the five-member probe committee submitted its report  to the university acting registrar HM Ali Hasan.

On February 12 night, a group of BCL activists led by IU vice-president Sanjida Chowdhury Antara and her associates including Tabassum went to the victim's room and reportedly assaulted and tortured her.

The victim is a fresher of Finance and Banking department of the university.

Antara, at one stage, forced the victim to get undressed and videoed the incident on her mobile phone.

The BCL leader also threatened that she would make the video viral on social media if the victim disclosed the matter to anyone, according to the complainant.

The victim lodged a written complaint with the university administration, including the university proctor, student adviser and the hall provost, demanding punishment of those involved in the incident on February 14.

Two probe bodies were formed by the Islamic University authorities and the Deshratna Sheikh Hasina Hall administration respectively follwoing the victim's complaints.

Deshratna Sheikh Hasina Hall authorities on Monday (February 27) expelled Antara and four IU BCL activists after found their involvement in the assault on the fresher.
