Residents of Chapainawabganj have formed a human chain in protest against the killing of Dr. Golam Kazem Ali Ahmed, an accomplished dermatologist of Chapainawabganj and demanding quick arrest and exemplary punishment of those involved in the murder.

On Friday, Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila, under the banner of Char Devinagar Ibrahim Mandal Tola', this human chain was held at Char Devinagar Primary School ground.

Teacher of Devinagar Dakhil Madrasa spoke in the hour-long human chain. Ismail Hossain, Nawabganj Government Girls High School senior teacher and Dr. Kazem's cousin. Anwarul Haque, Alatuli Union Parishad member Abdus Salam, Darul Ashab Hafezia Madrasa Superintendent Abdul Bari, Char Devinagar Jame Masjid Imam Furkan Ali, Godagari Harinbiska Higher Secondary School assistant teacher Md. Akhtaruzzaman, resident Kabirul Islam.

Local public representatives, teachers of various educational institutions, dignitaries, killed Dr. Kazem's neighbors and relatives attended.

Expressing disappointment that no accused has been arrested even after 19 days of human chain murder, the speakers demanded that the killers be brought under the law quickly.

It should be noted that on the night of October 29, on the way home from work in Rajshahi, miscreants Dr. Golam killed Kazem Ali and ran away. Later he was rescued and taken to the hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
