The Detective Branch
(DB) of the District Police has arrested two drug dealers with 21 kg 200 grams
of ganja, which was fitted inside an egg cage in Kurigram Sadar Upazila.
The arrested are
Jahidul Islam (32), a drug dealer from Barakuti area of Phulbari upazila of the
district and Anis (35), a drug dealer from Nageshwari upazila.

Police reported this information on Tuesday (November 28) at around one in the
afternoon.
According to the
district police, a team of the Detective Branch (DB) of the Kurigram district
police conducted a raid in the area adjacent to the Dharla Bridge of the
district headquarters at 1:45 pm on Tuesday. At that time, drug dealer Zahidul
Islam and drug dealer Anis of Nageshwari upazila were arrested from that area,
along with 21 kg 200 grams of ganja, which had been cut and fitted with egg
cages in a fancy way.
Kurigram District Police Media Spokesperson Additional Superintendent of Police (promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police) Md. Ruhul Amin said that the arrested drug dealers were arrested by a smart team of DB Police while cutting the egg cage in a fancy way and fitting drugs inside it. A case has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act at the Kurigram Sadar Police Station in this regard. If anyone else is involved in this, the operation is continuing to bring them under the law. Our campaign to eliminate drugs in Kurigram district will continue.
