A special law and order meeting and GR rice have been allocated on the occasion of Autumn Durga Purja celebration in Kurigram.
On Monday, Sadar Upazila Parishad Auditorium was attended by the Chief Guest - Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Aman Uddin Ahmed Manju, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Rashedul Hasan spoke on the occasion - Upazila Bhumi Officer Mizanur Rahman, Sadar Thana Officer-in-Charge Masudur Rahman, Trustee of Hindu Religious Welfare Trust Uday Shankar Chakraborty, President of District Puja Celebration Parishad Ravi Bose, President of Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity Council SM Chanalal Baksi, General Secretary Alak Sarkar, Project Implementation Officer Khandkar Md Fizanur Rahman and presidents and editors of various temples of Sadar Upazila were present.
In the meeting, 500 kg of GR rice DO was distributed in 78 Mandabs of Sadar Upazila. Along with this, special instructions were given to all the temple committees to maintain law and order to ensure smooth autumn festival.
