The fire that broke out at a building in the capital’s Wari area early today has been fully doused, the authorities said.
The fire broke out on the first floor of the six-storey building opposite to Wari Police Outpost at 1:55 am, said Shahjahan Sikder, deputy assistant director (media) of Fire Service and Civil Defense Headquarters.
On information, ten firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control at 2:40 am, he added.
The flame was completely doused at around 3:10 am. No casualties were reported in the fire incident.
The reason for the fire and the extent of the damage could not be confirmed immediately, said the fire official.
