Jahid Hasan, son of Abu Nayeem Talukder and Jahanara Akter, relocated to the United Kingdom in 2023. During his time there, he entered into marriage with Laraib Fatima, a woman of Pakistani origin, and they have a daughter, Aaira Fatima Hasan.

We acknowledge that Jahid's parents and sister have chosen to recognise this marriage. That is their personal decision, and we respect their right to make it. However, we—the extended family on both the paternal and maternal sides, including uncles, aunts, and cousins from the Talukder and Miah families—firmly, unequivocally, and with full resolve reject this union.

We do not recognise this marriage, and we will never accept Laraib Fatima or Aaira Fatima Hasan as members of our family. They are not welcome in our homes, our gatherings, or our country. We will have no contact or relationship with them, and we will not acknowledge their presence in any way.

Furthermore, we have decided to sever all ties with Jahid Hasan and his immediate family. We will not engage with them, communicate with them, or consider them part of our extended family going forward. This decision is final and irrevocable.

As a family of freedom fighters from both the Talukder and Miah lineages, it is deeply painful for us to be placed in a position where we must sever ties with our own blood. We have always upheld the honour and dignity of our families, and we will not allow any alliance—past, present, or future—to diminish the sacrifices made by our forefathers during the 1971 Liberation War.

We will take all necessary steps to protect our respect, our values, and our legacy. If that means losing someone from our family, then so be it. We will not hesitate to take action against anyone who attempts to undermine our family's honour or disrespect our ancestors' sacrifices.

We will not hesitate to take a life if necessary to preserve the dignity and honour of our martyr family. We have already lost so much in 1971, and we are prepared to lose even more to protect what remains of our pride and legacy.

Let this be a clear and final warning:

We will never accept this marriage or its consequences.

We will oppose any attempt to bring this union into our family or our country.

We will hold accountable anyone who tries to force this relationship upon us.

We demand that Jahid Hasan and his wife stay away from us and never attempt to contact us or our family members.

This is not a request. This is our final and uncompromising declaration.
