Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shahab Uddin has given strict instructions to the officials and employees of the ministry to make the development of the country’s environment visible as part of the implementation of the national commitment.
The progress of noise pollution control should be made visible to the people within the next one month, he said.
The minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at the signing ceremony of the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) for the financial year 2022-2023 with the ministry and seven departments under it at the conference room of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on Wednesday.
The environment minister said, “The annual performance agreement is a structured work plan. We have to be sincere in fulfilling the goal of making Bangladesh a developed country by 2041.”
The meeting was chaired by Dr Farhina Ahmed, Secretary of the Ministry and was attended by Deputy Minister Habibun Nahar, Additional Secretary (Administration) Iqbal Abdullah Harun and other senior officials of the Ministry and heads of subordinate departments and agencies.

Director of National Herbarium Sanjay Kumar Bhowmik, Managing Director of Bangladesh Climate Change Trust Dr Md Rezaul Haque and Bangladesh Rubber Board Chairman Syeda Sarwar Jahan signed the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) on behalf of their respective organizations.
