Veteran actor Farooque's body was taken to Central Shaheed Minar from his Uttara residence in the capital on Tuesday where it will be kept till 1pm for people from all strata to pay their last tribute.
After that, the body will be taken to Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) and his first namaz-e-janaza will be held there after Zuhr prayer.
Around 3:30 pm, the body will be taken to Channel i from BFDC, and finally it will be taken to Gazipur’s Kaliganj where Farooque will be buried after another janaza at Gulshan Azad Mosque in Dhaka at 5 pm.
Earlier at 7:50am on Tuesday, a special flight carrying Farooque's body arrived in Dhaka from Singapore. From there, it was taken to Farooque's Uttara residence.
Legendary actor Akbar Hossain Pathan, better known by his stage name Farooque, breathed his last at around 10am on Monday while undergoing treatment at Singapore's Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
He is known as 'Mia Bhai' to mass people and film industry. He is one of the most recognizable stars of classical and golden era of Bangladeshi film industry.
