Twelve dengue patients died and 2,823 others were hospitalised in the country in the 24 hours till Monday morning.
According to the daily update of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with the new number, the official death toll from dengue rose to 646 this year.
Of the 12 deaths, four were reported in Dhaka city and eight from various parts of the country.
Of the new cases, 877 were reported in Dhaka city and 1,710 were from outside it.
A total of 9,069 dengue patients, including 4,052 in Dhaka, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country, shows the DGHS data.
It said the total number of cases stands at 158,625 this year. So far 1,23,419 dengue patients were released from hospitals in the country this year.
The country recorded 281 dengue deaths in 2022 following 179 casualties in 2019.
Additionally, the DGHS recorded 62,423 dengue cases and 61,971 recoveries last year.
