The mayoral candidates in Comilla City Corporation elections were allocated symbols on Friday.
Five candidates are contesting for the mayoral position in the election scheduled for June 15.
Awami League backed candidate Arfanul Haque Rifat was allotted 'boat' as his electoral symbol while ex-mayor Monirul Haque Sakku, recently expelled from BNP, got 'table clock' as symbol.
Nizam Uddin Kaisar, who was also expelled from BNP, got "horse" symbol while Islami Andolan Bangladesh backed candidate Rashedul Islam was given "hand fan".
Independent candidate Kamrul Ahsan got "deer" symbol.
Returning officer Shahedunnabi Chowdhury distributed the symbols among the candidates at Comilla Shilpokola Academy around 10:00 am.
More than 2, 29, 920 lakh voters will exercise their voting rights in the Comilla City Corporation polls.
