Leaders of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) went to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) office on Wednesday and sought permission for holding peaceful rally in Dhaka on December 10.
They requested DMP Commissioner Khandaker Golam Faruk for taking necessary measures against Awami League men if they try to create any chaos before the rally.
The leaders said this to media after coming out from DMP office in Minto Road in the city at 11:30am.
Meanwhile, DMP Deputy Commissioner Md Faruq Hossain said they would give the party leaders permission for holding rally after scrutinising the information given by the intelligent agencies.
