"Bangladesh's
development experience will significantly accelerate and enrich the development
of the African region, including Algeria," said Amin Botalbi, president of
the Arab-African Investment and Development Center. Most recently, the Algerian
capital, Algiers, hosted a two-day trade fair hosted by the Arab-African Center
for Investment and Development, the renowned five-star hotel Sheraton. Speaking
at the conference, Ambassador Mohammad Zulkarnaen called upon the concerned
entrepreneurs to use the development experience and skills of Bangladesh in the
field of Arab investment in Africa.
The
trade fair was attended by high-ranking representatives from various countries,
including representatives of the African Union, the Minister of Commerce of
Sudan and the Minister of Algiers. Four African countries and Bangladesh have
exhibited their exportable products through stalls at fairs. In addition,
businessmen from different countries, including Algeria, took part in it.
Exportable
products of the country at the stall of Bangladesh Embassy in this fair was
displayed ; Other products including readymade garments, nakshikantha, spices,
jute and chander are on display. On the walls of the stalls hang pictures of
garment factory-made goods, leather goods, medicinal products and shrimp
farming on the country's unimaginable success in earning foreign exchange.
Visitors to the fair are informed about the quality of the products on display.
In addition, many Bangladeshis have praised the taste of Chira Bhaja.
Embassy
officials, including the embassy ambassador, took part in the B2B session on
the sidelines of the fair. Others feel that Bangladesh's exportable products
have been widely promoted through participation in the fair and the market for
Bangladeshi products has increased in other countries, including Algeria. High
level representatives from different countries including the Ambassador and the
Minister of Commerce of Sudan toured the fair. Bangladesh's Ambassador Zulkar
Nain offered to import manpower, IT, gas cylinders and other products from
Bangladesh for Algeria.
