Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested model Suhasini Adhora, who has been convicted for life in Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Humayun Kabir murder case.
She was arrested from a house in Merul Badda's Suvastu Tower on Thursday night. She was staying there secretly, said RAB-3 commander Lt Col Arif Mohiuddin Ahmed.
Adhora's real name is Fazilatunnesa Ria. She changed her name when she became a model. The new name is Suhasini Adhara, the RAB official said.
Some drugs, two mobile phone sets and a fake SSC certificate were recovered from her possessions.
ASI Humayun Kabir of Shah Ali Police Station was murdered on December 14, 2013 in Dhaka. Later, Humayun’s brother Bazlur Rahman filed a case with Mirpur Model Police Station.
A court in Dhaka on May 30, 2017, sentenced two people to death for the murder. The convicts are Rahima Sultana Rumi, wife of ASI Humayun, and Rafa-e-Misty, a friend of Rumi.
The court also sentenced Ria alias Adhora, wife of Misty, to life term in connection with the murder.
Adhora was absconding for 10 years.
