Five people were killed after a bus hit a CNG-run auto rickshaw in Bogura's Shahjahanpur upazila on Thursday morning.
The accident took place at 10:30am at Banani bypass road that also left two others injured.
Two of the deceased were identified as auto-rickshaw driver Hazrat Ali, 50, and passenger Nurnabi Badshah, 60.
The injured were sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College.
Koigari police outpost ASI Abbas Ali said a Dhaka-bound bus from Gaibandha hit the auto rickshaw in the area losing control. Three passengers of the CNG dead on the spot.
The CNG driver, later, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Soon after the accident, angry mob torched the bus. But local people said the bus caught the fire due to a gas cylinder explosion.
Police are on the spot.
