RAB-5, CPC-1, Chapainawabganj Camp has recovered a large quantity of abandoned cocktails from Lavanga Sundarpur area of Nayalavhanga Union of Shibganj Upazila. RAB-5 said in a press release on 30th December at noon

On December 29 at 8 pm in Lavanga Sundarpur area of Nayalavhanga Union under Shivganj Thana of Chapainawabganj district under the direction of Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Md. Munim Ferdous, SGP, PSC, AC, Company Commander Major Maruful Islam and Deputy Company Commander Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Aminul Islam conducted an operation. In an abandoned broken-down house, 07 red buckets were found with cocktail-like objects abandoned. The raiding party immediately cordoned off the area and evacuated the general public to a safe distance and later recovered 41 cockatiels. RAB-5, CPC-1 also said that Chapainawabganj is being used as a drug smuggling route due to geographical reasons. However, taking advantage of the recent political environment, a nefarious group is conducting various types of sabotage activities to disrupt the normal life of people. It is to be noted that recently miscreants are creating panic among the people by detonating cocktails in Chapainawabganj Election Commission office, DC office, Chief Judicial Magistrate's tennis ground in various places of Chapainawabganj district. All the members of RAB said that they are always ready so that no one can conduct any kind of subversive activities and create fear in the public mind in the upcoming National Assembly elections.
