Three persons were killed when a train hit a pickup van in Gazipur's Kaliganj upazila on Saturday morning.
The dead could not be identified yet.
The accident occurred at Nalchhata area near Arialkhola Rail Station at about 10:30 am, the station master Kamrul Islam confirmed.
Following the accident, rail communication on the line suspended for around an hour, said Kaliganj Police Station SI Delwar Hossain.
Station master Kamrul Islam said a Dhaka-bound train of Egarosindhur hit a palm-laden pick up van at an unprotected rail gate in the area, leaving three pick van passenger dead on the spot.
