A total of 21 people have been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering a farmer at Sadar upazila in Pabna district in 1998.
Pabna Additional District and Sessions Judge Court Judge Israt Jahan Munni pronounced the judgement at 12 noon.
The court also fined the lifers Tk 10,00 each. In default, they will have to serve three months more in prison.
Of the convicts Barek, Minhaj, Babul, Based Sheikh, Latif Mollah, Chobai are absconding. An arrest warrant have been issued against them.
