Bangladesh marks the 43rd homecoming day of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Bangabandhu, the father of the nation. In a joint statement issued by the President (Acting) Prof. Dr. A. A. M. S Arefin Siddique and General Secretary Professor ABM Farooq of the Bangabandhu Parishad, it was emphasized that Sheikh Hasina's return to Bangladesh after a long exile has played a pivotal role in the country's progress.

The statement highlighted the tragic event of August 15, 1975, when Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family were assassinated, but Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana managed to escape. In 1981, Sheikh Hasina was elected as the party president in her absence and bravely faced numerous obstacles created by the military rulers to return to the country on May 17, 1981.

The homecoming of Sheikh Hasina carries immense political significance, symbolizing the fight against unconstitutional military rule and the restoration of democratic rights and the spirit of the liberation war. Despite facing ongoing conspiracies and misinformation, the people of Bangladesh continue to place their faith and trust in Sheikh Hasina.

Under Sheikh Hasina's leadership, Bangladesh has made remarkable progress in various sectors, including socio-economic development, technology, and achieving self-sufficiency in food production and communication systems. The goal now is to transform Bangladesh into a digital nation and build a Smart Bangladesh.

On the occasion of Sheikh Hasina's 43rd Homecoming Day, the Bangabandhu Parishad congratulated her and expressed their wishes for her good health and long life. They expressed hope that Bangladesh's journey of improvement will continue under her leadership in the days to come.

This historic day holds a special place in the golden letters of Bangladesh's history, symbolizing resilience, progress, and the unwavering commitment to the vision of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
