Three members of a family were killed after a devastating fire broke out at a godown in the capital's Keraniganj around 4am on Tuesday.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The blaze originated around 4 am at a chemical godown in Goderbag area, said Md Shahjahan Shikdar, deputy assistant director (media cell) of Fire Service and Civil Defence.
The fire soon spread at a nearby house.
On information, six firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control around 6:15 am.
Two more injured persons were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in critical condition, said its police outpost inspector Bachchu Miah.
