The Daily Citizen Times steps in the 9th Year
Opinion
Today is the 31st of May 2022. It is a red letter day for the family of the daily Citizen Times. It began its journey since 2014. The long 8 years has passed with ups and downs as it happened for every human being. With a blend of sentiment, we stepped in the 9th year of our tough journey. We celebrate the day as the 8th founding anniversary with our hearts not by arranging any kind of formalities. We welcome the coming days with the hope of friendship, cooperation and fellow feelings among ourselves—our readers, government organizations, private enterprises, patrons and associates.

The great hardships we faced during Covid-19 pandemic with most of the stakeholders. Still we are suffering from its side effects. In spite of that a few private organizations looked at us with their noble efforts. Today we remember them with gratitude and due respect. We also recall a few persons who extended their time befitting advice which is still remain with us as our encouragement and mental strengths. Government organizations act as our guardians. We also recall their contributions during and after the pandemic periods.

We have been trying to portrait the vision of our Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman since the beginning of our journey. We have been working to help materializing the dream of Bangabandhu in our country. We have been depicting the vivid picture of country’s development as our legendary Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government is implementing. Our mission and vision aims at disseminating objective news for the readers of all strata.

Today—a day for realization will provide us courage and enthusiasm to move forward with objective news and views for our valued readers. Readers are our strengths. We hope the number of readers will increase in the days to come. Our joy and merriment in the Eighth Founding Anniversary today along with our readers will accumulate great mental strengths in the coming days. We could not arrange the colourful programme of the Founding Anniversary today due to financial constraints. But our good wishes for the readers, well-wishers, patrons, private and government business enterprises and organizations for their whole hearted support and good gesture they provided. They will ever be remembered. We believe in objective journalism and we bear the spirit of our great liberation war where thirty lakh valiant people sacrificed their lives for our beloved motherland, Bangladesh. We salute to those patriotic people in this day.

Today, the 8th founding anniversary day, we once again welcome and wish all our readers and patrons for being with us in our pursuit of truth, justice and commitment to the cause of the beloved country. Long live Bangladesh and last long years the daily Citizen Times among the hearts of avid readers.
