Expressing hope that students will play a leading role in building Smart Bangladesh of Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, State Minister for Water Resources Zahid Farooq MP said that students must be smart to build Smart Bangladesh. Be smart in all activities including studies. Only then will Smart Bangladesh become a reality.

He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the graduation convocation ceremony of Jahanara Israel School and College, Barisal today (Friday).

The state minister said that socio-economic conditions and lifestyle are changing rapidly in the present era. Therefore, today's child needs to acquire such qualifications and abilities that even in the changing conditions of the future world, he can live as a useful person and a responsible citizen. Next year 2041 Smart Bangladesh becomes eligible.

Mentioning the immense importance of mastering the English language in building a successful career, he said, the importance of mother tongue is immense for the overall development of a country and nation. The social, economic or historical background of a nation is reflected through its own mother tongue. Proficiency in mother tongue is also essential.

Mr. Saleh M. Shelley, the founder president of the institution presided. Director of Secondary and Higher Education Barisal Region (Maushi) Professor Moazzem Hossain, Joint Convenor of Barisal Metropolitan Awami Jubo League Alhaj Mahmudul Haque Khan Mamun, former VP of Barisal BM College Student Union Md. Moin Tushar were present as special guests.


The guests praised Jahanara Israel School & College, the only private English version approved by the Government of Barisal Division, as an attractive educational institution and distributed honor crests to the postgraduate students.
