RAB-11 has arrested an accused in a murder case from Sadar Upazila of Noakhali.

Arrested Marjahan Akhter Sumi (32) is daughter of Amir Hossain of Kalikapur village of upazila.

RAB-11 CPC-3 camp company captain Lt. Commander Mahmudul Hasan confirmed this information in a press release on Tuesday (December 19) night. Earlier, on the same day in the morning, he was arrested in a raid in the Ansar camp area of ​​Sadar Upazila of the district based on secret information.

According to the notification, the victim of the case was a 2021 SSC candidate of MA Rashid Girls High School. As the victim's father was abroad, his mother (accused) entered into an immoral relationship with another man. Due to which victim's father Asami Marjahan Akhter divorced Sumi. The victim lived with her mother in a rented house to facilitate commuting to school. On various occasions when the victim went to her grandfather's house, she used to talk about the character defects of her mother (accused). Because of this, the victim was often beaten and tortured by her mother.

The notification also said that the victim wanted to get admission in Chaumuhoni College after passing SSC and stay permanently at her grandfather's house. On October 17, 2021, the victim's mother called her grandfather and informed that the victim was taken to the hospital in an ill condition and the victim died. In the incident, the victim's grandfather said. Khorshed Alam filed a murder case against the accused in Begumganj police station of Noakhali district. District Intelligence Branch Noakhali has been handed over to take legal action against the accused.
