Students of seven government colleges affiliated to Dhaka University took position in front of Eden College and locked the main gate of the college to press home their seven-point demands.
Around 10:40am on Sunday, a group of students brought out a procession chanting different slogans include "We don't accept ineligible coordinator, our seven-point demands should be accepted...etc"
The procession, later, ended at Eden Mohila College and they took position there.
The protesting students warned that the gate will remain closed until the college principal and coordinator of seven colleges give them assurance of accepting their demands.
Their seven-point demands include: the reasons for harassment of seven college students at Dhaka University registrar building should be explained and the harassment of the students should be stopped; students who came to know that they are non-promoted after participating in the next year's classes, incourses and test exams, should be given the opportunity to take the next year's exams through improvement exams.
The students said on May 25, they submitted memorandums to the Principal of Eden College and coordinator of seven colleges over the issue. But their demands yet not be implemented. There was no discussion about these demands in the recent academic meeting of the seven colleges.
"That is why, we are holding protest program today," they said.
