Opposition BNP postponed its today's Aminbazar rally after the stage set up at the venue has been demolished.
They took the decision after their rally stage was allegedly demolished by law enforcing agencies.
Dhaka district BNP general secretary Nipun Roy Chowdhury alleged that Savar Police Station OC alongwith his team pulled down the stage, set up near Aminbazar Chishti Filing Station, around 1:30am on Monday.
"At 1:30am, OC told me over phone that we are demolishing the stage, you cannot be hold the rally on Monday," Nipun Roy said, according to a Bangla news portal.
Meanwhile, Dhaka South BNP holds rally at 3pm in old Dhaka's Dholaikhal. The party's secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will present there.
