Young politician and social worker, Shibaji Fakir, was honored for his exceptional contributions to social service at a function in Dhaka.

The Shawkat Osman Smriti Parishad recognized his efforts in establishing educational institutions and promoting Bengali nationalism and the works of writer Shawkat Osman among the youth. The Chief Guest, Minister of Science and Technology, Architect and Poet Yafes Osman, presented Shibaji Fakir with a memento. Known for his involvement with BL College Chhatra League and Union Chhatra League, Shibaji Fakir has also supported the underprivileged and donated essential materials. He has played a significant role in developing educational institutions and infrastructure in the area. Additionally, he is respected in Khulna for his religious devotion, honesty, and fearlessness.

The discussion on the 25th death anniversary of national poet Shawkat Osman was presided over by journalist and Daily Kalbela newspaper editor-in-chief Abed Khan. The event was attended by Science and Technology Minister Architect and Poet Yesfesh Osman as the chief guest, and State Minister for Culture KM Khalid MP as the special guest. The Director General of National Museum was also present as the Guest of Honour. The welcome address was delivered by Md.Abu Bakar Siddique widely known as Dr. Dipu Siddiqui, the general secretary of the Parishad.

During a meeting, speakers emphasized the role of Bengali nationalism in the creation of Bangladesh. Shawkat Osman, the renowned national writer, was recognized for his significant contribution to fostering a non-communal consciousness and advocating for justice.

The Shawkat Osman Smriti Parishad organized a commemorative event on the occasion of the poet's 25th death anniversary. Esteemed individuals who have dedicated themselves to upholding Bengali nationalism and the ideals of Shawkat Osman were honored, including Minister of Science and Technology Architect Osman, Minister of State for Culture KM Khaled MP, and Dr. Dipu Siddiqui, the general secretary of the Shawkat Osman Smriti Parishad. The ceremony witnessed the presence of senior government officials, renowned poets, senior journalists, and admirers of Shawkat Osman.
