President Abdul Hamid has expressed his shock at the death of Deputy Speaker Advocate Md. Fazle Rabbi Miah.
In a condolence message, the President said the nation will remember him with respect for his contribution to conducting the Parliament with skills and experience and his works regarding practice and development of parliamentary democracy.
Abdul Hamid prayed for the departed soul of Fazle Rabbi Miah and conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
Advocate Md. Fazle Rabbi Miah, MP passed away in New York while undergoing treatment there. He was 76.
The valiant freedom fighter fought against the Pakistan Army in Sector 11 during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971.
