Ahead of the 12th National Parliamentary Elections, 12 parties of the 20-party alliance led by BNP have announced a new alliance called “Somomana 12-Party Jote” otherwise known as “Like-minded 12-Party Alliance”.
The announcement of the new alliance was made at a press conference in front of Jatiya Press Club on Thursday.
The parties in the alliance are- the Jatiya Party (Zafar) led by Mustafa Jamal Haider, Bangladesh Kalyan Party led by Syed Muhammad Ibrahim, Bangladesh LDP led by Abdul Karim Abbasi and Shahadat Hossain Salim, Bangladesh Jatiya Dal led by Syed Ehsanul Huda, NDP led by KM Abu Taher, Bangladesh Muslim League led by Zulfikar Bulbul Chowdhury, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam led by Mufti Mohiuddin Ikram, Bangladesh Labor Party led by Dr Mostafizur Rahman Iran, Islami Oikya Jote led by Maulana Abdur Rakib, Jatiya Ganotantrik Party (JAGPA) led by led by Barrister Tasmia Pradhan, Bangladesh Communist Party led by Nurul Islam, Bangladesh Islamic Party led by Advocate Abul Kasem.
In the press conference, the leaders of the new alliance said that 12 political parties have united to speed up the simultaneous movement.
For this, they will start their journey in the field of politics through a new alliance.
