Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in an anti-crime operation, arrested an alleged drug peddler with 135 kilograms of
ganja in Naogaon district last night. The arrested was identified as Abdul Shukur, 28, son of late Liakat Ali of Shantirhat area under Patia Police Station in Chattogram district, RAB sources said this noon.
On a tip-off, a team of the RAB conducted a raid in a covered van at Fatehpur area under Manda upazila in Naogaon district around 3.30 am and arrested him with the hemp red-handed, RAB sources said. The arrestee, with the seized contraband goods, was handed over to the police. A case was filed with Manda Police Station in this connection.
