IBA Alumni Club Ltd. has inaugurated its initial clubhouse at own premises in the capital’s RAJUK Purbachal New Town. The club was founded on October 3, 2016 and has now moved to its permanent site with the opening recently. 

The Chairman of the IBA Alumni Club, Mr. Nazmul Hassan Papan, MP, invited the club members and their spouses to join the Club Chartered Day lunch as part of the programme preceded by a festive meet and greet session. 

He stated, “We are delighted to finally have our own place for the IBA Alumni Club. A lot of hard work went into making this dream turn into reality. Today we inaugurated the initial complex, and in the future, we will construct a permanent facility with world-class club amenities for the families of IBA graduates.” He also thanked the government for allotting the social infrastructure plot and mentioned the services of the club board, specially Musleh Uz Zaman, Salahuddin Chy, Rizvi Kabir, An Nurul Masud and Sheikh Shabab Ahmed for making the complex a reality in a short time and limited budget.

The former IBA Directors, members of the faculty, and a number of club members with spouses and dignitaries joined the ceremony with great zeal. IBA Alumni Club recognised the contributions of BAT Bangladesh by presenting a crest of honour to the company's Managing Director, Mr. Shehzad Munim.

IBA Alumni Club Ltd, or IBAAC, is a private, non-political, social, and recreational and networking club for the graduates of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), the University of Dhaka. It is a not-for-profit organisation and is targeted at self-sustainability.

The inaugurated club complex consists of ready facilities for indoor and outdoor recreation, including games, sports, food and beverage services, space for private events, and many more. The Club will provide an excellent forum for social interaction among business graduates in an informal and friendly environment. Through this Club, IBA graduates of the University of Dhaka will be able to enjoy their common academic background and share ideas, knowledge, and aspirations with similar mindsets.
