A fire broke out at a market near Bangabazar on Saturday morning.
A total of 14 firefighting units managed to bring the blaze under their control around 8:45am which originated at 8:05am on the third floor of Barishal Plaza, said Fire Service and Civil Defence control room official Rassel Farruque.
The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately. No causalities reported yet.
On April 4, a massive fire broke out at the Bangabazar Market and it spread to some other nearby markets. More than 5,000 shops were burnt down in the blaze.
