The government has directed field-level public officers and employees to remain present at their offices from 9:00am to 9:40am mandatorily in order to bring dynamism into public activities.
To this end, instructions have been sent to all District Commissioners (DCs) and Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) from the Cabinet Division.
According to the instruction, unless an emergency purpose, field-level government officials-employees must remain in the office from 9 am to 9.40 am. The activities of the field offices are regularly supervised by the Cabinet Division. Recently, many officials are not found in the office on time to communicate with the field-level officials. As a result, it becomes impossible for the public to make necessary connections with officers/employees of other organizations. As common citizens are affected by this, the speed of government work also hampers.
Therefore, to increase the mobility and coordination of the government activities, field-level officers and employees are forced to come to the office every day at 9 am and stay until 9:40 pm, regardless of the weather.
