The admission test of Dhaka University's 'Kha' unit under the Faculty of Arts for 2021-22 academic session was held on Saturday.
The test was held from 11-12:30 pm in eight divisional cities, including Dhaka, simultaneously.
The university Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman visited the examination center at the Faculty of Arts at 11.15 am.
"This year, we decided to hold the exams in all eight divisions of the country to minimise the sufferings of the candidates and their parents," VC Akhtaruzzaman said.
The total number of applicants for 'Kha' unit is 58,565 for 1,788 seats. Thirty-three students are fighting for each seat.
The seven other divisional cities are Chittagong University, Rajshahi University, Khulna University, Bangladesh Agricultural University (Mymensingh), Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Sylhet), Barisal University and Begum Rokeya University (Rangpur).
'Ga' unit exam was held on Friday (June 3).
