Five dengue patients died across the country in 24 hours till Thursday morning, raising the fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh to 93 this year.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in a statement said some 1, 239 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever during the period.
Among new patients, 756 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and the rest outside it.
A total of 4, 069 dengue patients, including 2, 708 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
The DGHS has, so far, recorded 17, 382 dengue cases this year and some 13, 220 patients released from hospital after recoveries.
Meanwhile, the country logged 281 highest dengue deaths in 2022 .
