Leaders and activists of BNP are arriving at the rally venue Collectorate Eidgah ground in Rangpur in groups holding processions and chanting slogans.
The venue where the party's divisional rally is going to be held on Saturday afternoon had filled up by night.
Hundreds of people were seen reaching on battery-run three-wheelers, motorcycles or on foot.
Many arrived on Thursday night at the venue and around it.
It was learnt that because of the suspension of plying of buses and minibuses in eight districts of Rangpur division due to transport strike, leaders and workers from different adjoining districts started arriving at Rangpur city since Thursday night.
Belala Hossain, a school teacher in Kurigram Fulbari upazila, said they had left on 50 three-wheelers around 4am and arrived at the district at 8am.
