Commuter train set on fire in Tangail, two bogies burnt

Miscreants set a stationary commuter train on fire at Tangail Railway Station early on Thursday amidst the ongoing 48-hour countrywide road-rail-waterways blockade called by BNP, Jamaat and other like-minded opposition parties.

Two bogies of the commuter train were partially damaged for fire incident.

Confirming the matter Mohammad Selim, booking master of Tangail Railway Station, said that the miscreants set the train on fire around 3:00am.

On information, a fire fighting unit rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze.
