Aush incentive for 8,000 farmers allotted in Jamalpur

Agriculture Department will disburse incentive among small and marginal farmers on Aush paddy in the district in the upcoming Kharip season-1.

According to Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) office 8,000 small and marginal farmers in all the seven upazilas of the district will get the incentive.

The office said each of the farmers will get 5-kg Aush paddy seed, 10-kg DAP fertilizer and 10-kg MOP fertilizer free of cost for cultivation one Bigha of land.

The Office said Kharip season-1 will begin from March 16 next.

Deputy Director, DAE, Seed Marketing, Khagendra Chandra Roy said under the incentive programme quality Aush paddy seed of BADC will be disbursed among the farmers through Agriculture Department.

Additional Deputy Director, DAE, Muhammad Harun-Or-Rashid said view to increase Aush paddy production the incentive will be disbursed among the farmers.
