Two dengue patients died and 164 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Friday morning.
With the latest death, a total of 42 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.
Currently, 1,336 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 983 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 353 are in other divisions.
As many as 10,396 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Sme 9,018 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
