A scuffle took place between the lawyers of Awami League and BNP on the Supreme Court premise on Thursday while both the groups were staging protest.
During the protest, the BNP-bacled lawyers vandalised the office of the SC bar secretary (Awami League-backed).
Witnesses said Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum held a press briefing against the judgement of BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman and his wife Zubaida Rahman. After that, the BNP lawyers brought out a procession.
Meanwhile, AL-backed lawyers also brought out procession protesting BNP's anarchy. Around 2:45pm, both the group locked into scuffle and pushed each other in front of president-secretary room.
At one stage, BNP lawyers made a vandalism in Supreme Court bar secretary Nur Dulal's office and removed his nameplate. They also removed the nameplate from the president's room.
