Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said that the number of good people has been decreasing in the politics of the country.
"Sometimes I feel great pain, why does it seem like the number of good people has been decreasing from the politics of my country. A good man like Shajahan Kamal is rare in politics. Demising him means, we have lost a good man. Abdus Sattar Bhuiyan was also a good man. We lost two good people in the death of these two leaders."
The minister made the comment after paying tribute to two lawmakers on Nam Bhaban premises in Manik Miah Avenue.
Obaidul Quader said, "We placed wreaths on behalf of our party. Our party chief Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is now abroad, she has sent a condolence message."
