Joy and sorrow

Joy and sorrow
Literature

As time ticks by and moments pass,
It's time to bid farewell at last,
To President Abdul Hamid, we say goodbye,
And welcome a new leader, with hopeful eyes.

A game of joy and sorrow it has been,
As we reflect on the years we've seen,
But now it's time to turn the page,
And begin anew, with hope and grace.

Abdul Hamid, once captive within a fence,
Longed to return to his people, to dispense
The love and gratitude he owed,
To the ones who made him feel at home.

Kamalpur village, by Ghorautra's stream,
A place where he could rest and dream,
Of a brighter future, for his people and land,
To serve them with his heart and hand.

He was once the youngest member of parliament,
A true son of Kishoreganj, with intent
To repay the debt of human love,
A noble goal, sent from above.

As we bid him farewell, we remember,
The love he showed, the kindness he rendered,
And we welcome a new leader, with hope in our hearts,
Ready to play their part, and do their part.
