Humayun Rashid, Managing Director and CEO of Energypac Power Generation Limited, has been awarded with the FBCCI Business Excellence Award 2023. The award was announced at a Gala event organized at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in the capital on 13 March. He was awarded in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the country’s economy.

On the occasion of FBCCI’s 50th anniversary, this Excellence Award was declared in various categories as part of the Bangladesh Business Summit 2023 organized at BICC, Agargaon from 11-13 March. The summit was organized to expedite economic development towards realizing the goal of Smart Bangladesh by 2041. Business leaders, investors and policymakers from the country and abroad participated in various sessions of the summit.

FBCCI President Jashim Uddin conveyed the welcome speech at the beginning of the award-giving ceremony. Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, MP was present as the chief guest whereas Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi MP, and Prime Minister’s Private Industries and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman MP were present as special guests at the event.

Humayun Rashid, has been involved in Electro-Mechanical and Engineering business for the last 40 years. Earlier, he was declared as a Commercially Important Person (CIP). He also served as Senior Vice President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI).
