Three people were killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a pickup van at Phulbari upazila in Dinajpur district early on Sunday.
The accident took place on the Dhaka-Dinajpur highway in Bhimpur area.
The deceased were identified as pickup van driver Waliullah, 22, his helper Azizur Rahman, 24, and their passenger Mottasim Billah, 25.
Phulbari Police Station officer in-charge Md Ashraful Islam said a bus of Shyamoli Paribahan collided head-on with a tomato-laden pickup van this morning, leaving three people in the pickup van dead on the spot.
On information, police and fire service personnel went to the spot and recovered the bodies.
An unnatural death (UD) case was filed in this regard, the OC added.
