Eleven more dengue patients died while 2,944 were admitted to different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours till Monday morning.
With these latest figures, the death toll has now surged to 714, and the total number of cases stands at 1,51,272 this year.
Of the new patients, 967 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and the rest outside it, according to DGHS.
A total of 9,816 dengue patients, including 4,207 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
So far, the DGHS has recorded 140,715 recoveries.
In the first 10 days of September, the Aedes mosquito-borne Dengue has claimed the lives of 137 people across the country. 24,520 cases were reported during the same period.
The country recorded 281 dengue deaths in 2022 following 179 casualties in 2019.
Additionally, the DGHS recorded 62,423 dengue cases and 61,971 recoveries last year.
