Vaccination of the children aged between five to 12 years of old against Covid-19 will start in the last week of July.
Health Minister Zahid Maleque came up with the development on Wednesday.
On June 27, Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Professor Meerjady Sabrina Flora said the children aged between 5 and 12 years old will get Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine after being registered with the Surokkha App by using birth certificate.
Flora said, "I urge the parents to register the births of those who do not have birth registration as soon as possible."
Sabrina Flora also called everybody for following the health guidelines at the sacrificial animal market.
