A fire that broke out at a ceramic godown in old Dhaka's Chawkbazar area around 10:45am on Tuesday, is now under control.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze around 12:15pm which originated on the fifth floor of a five-storey building beside Bismillah Tower at 10:45am, said Fire Service and Civil Defence's Dhaka zone assistant director Akhtaruzzaman.
Getting information, one firefighting unit rushed to the spot. Later, fire more joined with them.
The reason behind the fire could not be known yet.
