BDP President and SAARC Society President Nazim Habib Uz Zaman passed away, leaving his fans, party leaders and activists and countless well-wishers in tears. He was the son of the then East Pakistan Minister of Industry and Commerce Wahiduzzaman Thanda Mia. He formed the Bangladesh Democratic Party (BDP). With his talent, he always showed the government the way to work for the welfare of the country. By declaring solidarity with Begum Khaleda Zia's Long March, he inspired the people of the country to march. He filed a case in the Bangladesh Supreme Court to get a fair share of Farakka water. He was indomitable and irresistible against injustice and corruption. Mr. Nazim Zaman loved the people of the country with his life. At a time when the country's crop fields were burning due to lack of water due to severe drought, Mr. Nazim Zaman created a stir by filing a case at his own expense in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh demanding a fair share of Farakka water. As the blood of a patriotic politician flows in the veins of this highly educated politician, he has worked for the welfare of the country and its people throughout his life. During the time of Nazim Habib Uz Zaman, there were only a handful of philanthropists like him in politics. He was a humble, honest and pure-minded person. His thoughts were focused on the liberation of the hardworking people of this country. This patriotic politician Nazim Habib Uz Zaman breathed his last at 6 am on August 1 at the age of 78 at Ever Care Hospital in the capital.
