Bangladeshi women defeated Indian women by 4 wickets to avoid a 0-3 whitewash in Dhaka.

Shamima Sultana held the innings together with a solid 42 before an expensive 18th over from debutant Rashi Kanojiya opened the game for Bangladesh.

At the beginning of the innings, Minnu Mani provided India the perfect start as she removed opener Shathi Rani and Dilara Akter in her first 2 overs. B'desh were steadied by Shamima and Nigar Sultana who put on a 46-run partnership before Devika Vaidya broke the stand by dismissing the Bangladesh captain.

In the first innings, Bangladesh restricted India to 102/9 in 20 overs, with Rabeya Khan finishing with 3/16.

For India, captain Harmanpreet Kaur top-scored with 45 aided by a positive knock of 28 from Jemimah Rodrigies.

However, barring them, the rest of the Indian batting crumbled, leaving Bangladesh 103 to get.
