Another Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrim dies in Saudi Arabia

One more Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrim passed away while performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia, taking the total death toll to 23.

The deceased have been identified as Md Kamal Uddin Mazumder, a resident of Chittagong.

He died in the holy city of Makkah al-Mukarramah, said the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Meanwhile, a total of 12,306 pilgrims have returned back to the country in 33 flights since July 14.

A total of 165 Hajj flights have flown from Bangladesh to carry Hajj pilgrims from Bangladesh.

Among them, Biman Bangladesh Airlines transported 30,363 pilgrims in 87 flights. Saudi Airlines transported 23,919 pilgrims in 64 flights. Flynas transported 5,864 pilgrims in 14 flights.

The Hajj journey to Saudi Arabia began on June 5 and ended on July 5.
