The state-run Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation has also joined the strike.
No bus left bus terminals in the district town, cutting off the communications of the district with rest of the country and causing untold sufferings of the people.
Although BRTC is a state-run transport agency, Faridpur BRTC Bus Transport Assistant Director Mamun Hasan said that BRTC bus services will be stopped on Friday and Saturday from Faridpur.
