A court in Dhaka on Monday sentenced 15 BNP leaders, including BNP Chairpeson's advisor Habibur Rahman Habib, to four years in jail in a sabotage case.
The case was filed with Bhatara Police Station in 2015.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jashim pronounced the judgement in presence of the two convicts.
According to the judgement, the convicts were jailed for two years for obstructing police to perform their duties and will have to pay Tk 5,000 as fined money in the case.
And they were jailed for another two years in an arson case and will have to pay Tk 5,000.
Meanwhile, four other accused were acquitted as their case charges were not proved.
Earlier, BNP standing committee member Iqbal Hasan Mahmud and the party Chairperson's advisor Amanullah Aman have been jailed in two separate case. And accused Tuku is now in abroad.
